IFA Report
The retail packaging of this new iPhone, the Apple iPhone 3Gs, has remained virtually the same. The already compact sales packaging has now shrunk even further, and a silver-lined S, which stands for speed, has been added to the type name. Furthermore, a picture of the smartphone Apple iPhone 3Gs is displayed on the front, whilst the Apple logo can be found on the side, just like the text displayed in silver. Opening a sealed packaging is always a good feeling, and as soon as the top cover is removed, the iPhone 3Gs becomes visible.

With the introduction and availability of the Samsung Pixon 12, the mobile photographer is confronted with high resolution pictures for the first time. The Samsung Pixon 12 features a special AMOLED touchscreen for a powerful color reproduction, and provides the avid user with several creative possibilities to capture everything in his surroundings and share it immediately with the mobile community. The various communication options and functionalities we will take for granted, because in this article we'd like to focus primarily on the picture functions of the Pixon 12 phone. Launching the Samsung Pixon camera mode does take some time, but once it is activated, the speed is remarkable.
Canon EOS 500D review

In a slight up-tempo, Canon has introduced a new digital SLR, the Canon EOS 500D. At this time, the Canon 500D is ranked in between several existing EOS cameras such as the 1000D / 450D and the EOS 50D. This is already the sixth generation EOS digital SLR camera since the EOS 300D was introduced in 2003. In the meantime, a lot has been improved and renewed, and looking back, it is impressive to see how much has changed in a short period of time, which has certainly added to the image quality.
Canon PowerShot review

The Canon PowerShot A2100 IS digital camera has the same measure-ments and weight as its predecessor. A handy format to carry with you at all times, also thanks to its reasonable weight, even though it is not ultra-light. The plastic material of the housing feels rough, and that is why the camera still feels safe in your hand despite the lack of a real handgrip. The design of the Canon camera is quite traditional with straight lines and softly curved corners. Several generations ago, the A-series still contained an actual handgrip, which made its appearance less compact. As for hand-fit, I prefer the older generation, which is by no means intended to diminish the A2100IS; it is just that the older design provided that little extra stability.

Many recently new introduced phones feature a full touch screen. Although it is considered a trend, not everybody seems keen to rely solely on a touchscreen, and it are exactly these consumers that demand a general keypad. They're hesitant to switch to a full touchscreen operated mobile phone. The solution for this group is the Samsung Tocco S8300. This mobile phone combines a general numeric keypad with a touchscreen, thus providing the user with two operating options. We have extensively tested whether this combination is convenient in practice.• Read our full Samsung S8300 review.
