IFA Report
Trade visitors to this year’s IFA will again have an opportunity to take part in the themed tours. These will take them straight to the highlights of the various thematic areas and provide an opportunity for discussions about the latest trends with specialist from the companies on display. These tours will enable trade visitors to take a first look at the latest developments and, with time at a premium, to meet with representatives of companies in each of the specialist areas. This is also an ideal way for dealers to make contact with companies. In each case two or three innovative firms will be featured, whose experts will be on hand to present their latest products and answer questions.
International Trade Visitors
This year these popular tours will concentrate on the four themes of Audio Entertainment, Home Entertainment, Technology & Components, and Connectivity. Attention will be focused on Web 2.0, digital photography and music in the new My Media section, the finest quality sound and pictures for maximum enjoyment of Home Cinema, communication with providers, telecommunications, satellite navigation systems and the providers of cable and antennae services, the international halls and the Science and Technology Forum of the IFA. There will be regular announcements about themes, running orders and starting times of the tours for visitors to the International Trade Visitors’ Reception.

Tours of the four theme sections will all start at the same times, 11 a.m. and 1.30 p.m., each day between 31 August and 4 September from the International Trade Visitors’ Reception in Hall 1.1, close to the South Entrance to the Exhibition Grounds. There will only be a morning tour on 5 September, starting at 10 a.m. Depending on the composition of the group, explanations will be either in German or in English.
