Thanks to Jeff Keller from DCResource for spotting this news, we are able to inform you about a new upcoming Kodak EasyShare camera; the Kodak EasyShare Z812 IS Megazoom camera. Although the information is not official yet, thanks to Google’s cache there are some Kodak information pages available with the following specifications. The Kodak Z812 IS features a 12x Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon optical zoom lens with optical image stabilization and 8.2 Megapixel resolution. High Definition is the latest hot feature, at least according to those camera manufacturers who offer HD on its camera series, and we notice that the Kodak EasyShare Z812 IS also offers HD quality photos and 720p (30 fps) video.

Kodak Z812 camera - Megazoom
The Kodak EasyShare Z812 IS Megazoom digital camera combines an impressive 12X optical zoom lens (36-432 mm equivalent Schneider Kreuznach Variogon) with optical image stabilization, delivering solid performance to enthusiastic photographers. The 8 Megapixel Kodak Z812 IS digital Megazoom camera boasts a remarkable click-to-capture performance (0.23 sec.) and, of course, is supposed to deliver high picture quality at an affordable price. Kodak will offer the Kodak EasyShare Z812 IS as an easy to use compact all-round camera but may also offer it as an alternative to digital SLRs.
