At the end of August it is already time for the world's largest con-sumer electronics trade show. The IFA 2007 event, held in Berlin Germany, will begin and is the trade show for both industry experts and the general public. We will attend the IFA show and will cover the consumer electronics show live from the show floor. This year there are more photo-related exhibitors present at the IFA event then the years before. This will also be the event where most of the new compact cameras and digital SLRs will be showcased. Those of you who are actually attending the IFA trade show will have the change to get a first look on products like the Nikon D300 or Canon 40D cameras, others may bookmark our special IFA 2007 report!

IFA show 2007 - Live coverage

IFA 2007 report - Consumer and Electronics Trade Show
This year’s IFA even will be one of the largest consumer electronics trade show ever. Some facts and figures; in 2006 the IFA welcomed 1,049 exhibitors and 212,494 visitors. For media the IFA show was interesting enough to accredit 6,519 journalists from 74 countries including 5,211 media representatives from Germany and 1,308 from other countries. IFA reports appeared in trade journals around the world as well as in 100 German dailies and 80 foreign newspapers. Although major announcements have already been made by various manufacturers in the weeks before the beginning of the IFA you may expect some interesting introductions to come just before the IFA begins and right after the IFA ends.

LetsGoDigital Online Magazine
Established in 2001 and first published in Dutch, LetsGoDigital became an international orientated digital online magazine with multiple editions. Each edition, English, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Swedish and Turkish, is run by a dedicated editor and updated with the latest news, digital camera reviews and other related digital imaging news. The platform LetsGoDigital created contains various publications, among them reports of events like Photokina, PMA, CES, CeBIT and IFA shows.

DIWA Awards
LetsGoDigital is also one of the initiators and board member of the DIWA Awards. DIWA is an international network of independent websites focussing on digital imaging. Their collaboration is formalized through the organization Digital Imaging Websites Association (DIWA). By utilizing the expertise from each individual website and adopting universal testing procedures, the organization produces the most comprehensive, versatile, neutral and reliable reviews of digital imaging products. The best products tested receive a DIWA Award for excellence.
