IFA 2010 Show : Nikon unveils a new compact camera to join its Coolpix line-up, the Nikon Coolpix S1100PJ with integrated projector, the successor to the award-winning Nikon Coolpix S1000pj. The Nikon Coolpix S1100PJ sees Nikon again redefining the way people share their photos, videos, and even presentations with the inclusion of an integrated projector, offering enhanced picture quality and the ability to connect directly to a computer. The Nikon S1100PJ features Nikkor precision lens, Nikon Expeed 2 digital image processing, and includes legendary Nikon features designed to capture the highest quality images.

The Nikon Coolpix S1100PJ is the successor to the award-winning S1000pj, the world’s first camera with an in-built projector, and allows new ways of image viewing and sharing, without the need for additional equipment or having to crowd round the camera’s LCD display. At 14 lumen, the projector is 40% brighter than its predecessor, enabling projection in new situations such as in lighter rooms or against lighter surfaces. It can also be linked to your PC or Mac so stored pictures or presentations can be shown instantly through the projector.

Nikon S1100PJ features
Boasting a 14.1 megapixel sensor, a wide-angle 5x zoom Nikkor lens, and 7.5 cm (3.0 inch) extra high resolution (460K-dot) touch-screen LCD monitor for intuitive touch control, the Nikon Coolpix S1100PJ is not just a fancy gadget but is a typically high-quality Nikon camera. To ensure crisp photographs every time, the Nikon Coolpix S1100PJ digital camera contains five functions to reduce image blur, while convenient modes such as Easy Auto mode and Smart Portrait System mean you don’t have to worry about choosing the right setting for your shot, leaving you to focus on getting just the right picture.

The Nikon Coolpix S1100PJ projector camera also introduces a range of retouch features so you can really get creative, including Fisheye effect, selective colour highlighting on an otherwise monochrome picture, and background softening, so you don’t have to go anywhere near a computer to edit your images. To liven up your slideshows you can use the built-in animations, background music or slide transitions. Finally, the Paint function means you can add handwritten annotations to your images, even while you are projecting them on a wall. The Nikon Coolpix S1100pj projector camera is available from September 16th 2010 for an estimated retail price of €379,-.
