News Report IFA 2010 - Olympus is pleased to announce the addition of a new lens to its Micro Four Thirds System lens line-up: the M. Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f4.0-5.6. Designed to maximize the performance advantages of the Micro Four Thirds System, the new Olympus 40-150mm lens offers uncompromising SLR quality and supports movie & still image compatibility. This addition enriches the M. Zuiko Digital lens lineup by covering the focal length from 18mm to 600mm in 35mm equivalent. The Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f4.0-5.6 will be available in November 2010 for an estimated retail price of 450 Euro.

The new Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 is extremely light (190g). Its wide zoom range is equivalent to 80-300mm on a 35mm camera, and its Micro Four Thirds System design offers outstanding portability that makes interchangeable lens photography easier. Despite offering telephoto performance equivalent to 80-300mm on a 35mm camera, the M. Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 weighs only 190g. Compact enough to enable handheld shooting at the equivalent of 300mm, it is a telephoto zoom that significantly expands shooting opportunities with its easy handling and outstanding portability. The rear focusing mechanism uses only two lens elements to enable exceptionally fast, quiet autofocusing for smooth, stress-free still-image and movie shooting.

Olympus 40-150mm lens features
