IFA 2010 Show - There is another Casio Exilim digital camera introduced in Japan only, the new Casio Exilim EX-FC160s. It seems that the Casio FC160s is an upgrade of the FC150 and especially aimed at the sports minded action photographer. Maybe that is also where the ‘s’ of FC160s stands for? The Casio Exilim FC160s digital camera features a 10.6 Megapixel backside-illuminated sensor and supports high speed shooting like capturing a magnificent ‘birdie’ of a golfer at 1000 fps. The new Casio EX-FC160 sports camera belongs to the High Speed cameras in the Exilim series and as a result, stands out from the masses. An interesting little compact camera, although we wonder how many consumers actually use such fast shooting features…

IFA Show Report : Casio announces the release of the Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z800 digital camera, marking the latest addition to the Exilim family of digital cameras. The Casio Exilim Z800 sports advanced features in a slim, compact and stylish body, including a Single Frame SR Zoom that extends the zoom range. The new Casio EX-Z800 camera makes use of the Exilim Engine 5.0 and super resolution technology to take photos with exceptional clarity and resolution, while the Single Frame SR Zoom maintains image quality through 1.5 times the range of the optical zoom. Other features include the highly-regarded Premium Auto function, which automatically produces beautiful photos with just a press of the shutter button.

Casio 60 fps Digital Camera Prototype

Casio announced that it is developing an entirely new digital camera with hitherto unseen high speed performance and image capture functions that make the most of its cutting-edge digital technologies. The revolutionary Casio 60 fps digicam of the future will be able to take still images at an astonishing shooting speed, to catch fast-moving subjects at the crucial moment. The Casio Hi-speed camera will also take movies that capture movement so fast that it cannot even be seen by the human eye. The first Casio high speed camera prototype was displayed at the IFA, a consumer electronics trade show, in Berlin, Germany, where our team is operating and working to cover the show live.

Casio Exilim EX-V8

Casio proudly releases its new Exilim EX-V8 digital camera. The Casio Exilim EX-V8 features a slim yet powerful optical zoom like other models in the Exilim Hi-Zoom series. The Casio EX-V8 delivers 8.1 effective megapixels in a shape slim and compact enough to fit in the palm of the hand, and features a 7x optical inner zoom lens designed for quiet operation. Digital camera enthusiasts are all familiar with the Exilim series Casio offers, but we still have to see the first Exilim mobile phone to reach the market outside Asia. Casio Korea is proud to introduce their high resolution mobile camera phone; the Casio Exilim Keitai C53CA. Unfortunately, for now, we will not be able to get a sample in our hands because the Casio Keitai C53CA is for the Asian (Japan) market only. Casio is one of the pioneers of the digital camera market and is already active for more than a decade. The stunning designed Exilim cameras are famous all over the world and often copied by the competition.

The IFA International Consumer Electronics Show took place every two years, but since 2006 the IFA show became once again an annual event under Berlin’s famous Funkturm landmark. In the early days, back in 1924 the IFA began in Berlin as the “Great German Radio Exhibition”. In the meantime, the International Consumer Electronics Show has not only become the world's biggest trade show for consumer electronics but also presents the world's largest number of product premieres in consumer electronics and home appliances. At IFA 2009 more than 3 billion Euros worth of orders were generated. IFA 2010 could even surpass this number! The total number of exhibitors at last year’s IFA show was 1164 from 46 countries.
