Casio announced that it is developing an entirely new digital camera with hitherto unseen high speed performance and image capture functions that make the most of its cutting-edge digital technologies. The revolutionary Casio 60 fps digicam of the future will be able to take still images at an astonishing shooting speed, to catch fast-moving subjects at the crucial moment. The Casio Hi-speed camera will also take movies that capture movement so fast that it cannot even be seen by the human eye. The first Casio high speed camera prototype was displayed at the IFA, a consumer electronics trade show, in Berlin, Germany, where our team is operating and working to cover the show live.

Casio Exilim EX-V8

Casio proudly releases its new Exilim EX-V8 digital camera. The Casio Exilim EX-V8 features a slim yet powerful optical zoom like other models in the Exilim Hi-Zoom series. The Casio EX-V8 delivers 8.1 effective megapixels in a shape slim and compact enough to fit in the palm of the hand, and features a 7x optical inner zoom lens designed for quiet operation. Thanks to the Exilim Engine 2.0 image processing module the Casio Exilim V8 camera can offer four blur reduction technologies, including a CCD-shift image stabilization mechanism, and it sets the most appropriate ISO sensitivity and shutter speed. Casio proudly releases its new Exilim EX-Z1080 digital compact camera. The Casio Exilim Z1080 is the latest addition to the core Exilim Zoom series and packs an outstanding range of functions into a compact size. The 10.1 megapixel Casio Exilim Z1080 produces beautiful photographs even when printed large. Thanks to the Exilim Engine 2.0 image processing module the Z0180 digital camera enables high sensitivity photography up to a maximum of ISO 6400, and is ideal for photographing darker scenes and reducing blur caused by shaky hands and subject movement. During my short stay in Dublin I was able to visit the Guinness Storehouse and took some sample shots with the new Casio Exilim EX-Z1200 digital compact camera. The Casio Z1200 offers 12 Megapixel resolution and incorporates CCD-shift image stabilization and the latest Exilim Engine 2.0 image processing module with motion analysis technology. In addition, the Casio Exilim Z1200 features auto-tracking AF system that now combines both face detection and motion analysis technologies. With this revolutionary new system, once the focus is locked in, it follows a moving subject’s face, maintaining both sharp focus and correct exposure.
