Nikon WT4 Wireless Transmitter

Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce the introduction of Wireless Transmitter WT-4, that enables image transfer and camera control from a computer connected with a camera via USB cable, and remote-control software Camera Control Pro 2. The Nikon WT-4 Wireless Transmitter, when connected with the Nikon D3 or D300 digital SLR, permits image transfer to a computer connected wirelessly or using Ethernet cable, or to an FTP server. Wireless printing is also made possible via computer. Furthermore, the newly added Thumbnail Select mode realizes wireless transfer of images to a computer taken with several cameras connected to the new Nikon WT-4 Wireless Transmitter.

Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 software

Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 software remotely controls most functions of Nikon digital SLRs from a computer that is connected via USB cable or through wired or wireless LAN using a wireless transmitter. Advanced functions of the new Nikon D3 and D300 such as Viewer for preview and selection of images prior to transfer to a computer, Live view function and Picture Control System are supported. It also supports workflows of Nikon’s exclusive photofinishing software Capture NX (optional) and browser and viewer software ViewNX. In addition to the D3 and D300, Camera Control Pro 2 is compatible with the Nikon D2 series, D1 series, D200, D100, D80, D70 series, D50 and D40 series.

It’s a system that embodies Nikon's intense passion for digital images. Unlike image-processing engines or systems, EXPEED does not deal with specific parts or features.

Nikon Europe announced a new super-telephoto lens incorporating Nikon’s exclusive VR II Vibration Reduction system. Aimed at professional sports, news and wildlife photographers, the Nikon AF-S 600mm f/4G ED VR complements the NIKKOR range of super telephoto lenses. The IFA International Consumer Electronics Show took place every two years, but since 2006 the IFA show became once again an annual event under Berlin’s famous Funkturm landmark. In the early days, back in 1924 the IFA began in Berlin as the “Great German Radio Exhibition”. In the meantime, the International Consumer Electronics Show has not only become the world's biggest trade show for consumer electronics but also presents the world's largest number of product premieres in consumer electronics and home appliances. At IFA 2009 more than 3 billion Euros worth of orders were generated. IFA 2010 could even surpass this number! The total number of exhibitors at last year’s IFA show was 1164 from 46 countries.
